"The Jetsons" features what I consider Hanna-Barbera's finest art work among its pantheon of classic series from the golden age of traditional TV animation. Everything is sharp, crisp and bright, with beautifully drawn backgrounds - unlike "The Flintstones", HB's preceding landmark animated series (the first prime-time cartoon series), where the animation was often sloppy, colourless and overly economical (those too frequent "rolling drum" backgrounds come to mind). The voice actors in "The Jetsons" are all superbly cast & delightful - this quality it shares in equal measure with "The Flintstones". The first season of "The Jetsons" series introduces all the beloved major characters - the episodes where we learn how Astro the dog, and Rosie the robot maid, became members of the Jetsons household are particularly enjoyable. Suitable for all family members, including your robot maid.
