and I was not disappointed. Colleen has created a wonderful book that's not only a cookbook but also a guide into the world of vegan baking. After I received the book in the mail I baked the chocolate chip cookies and the corn bread. Both were delicious and received two thumbs up from my non vegan husband and son.

I'm now creating a list of goodies from the book that I will be making as gifts for the upcoming holiday season. I can hardly wait to start baking.

This was my first vegan cookbook. I LOVE it! The first section just explains when to use what for egg, and dairy substitutes. Super easy, explained things very well(this is especially important to me because I have a severe brain injury-it takes me a bit longer to comprehend what to do). There's even tips on troubleshooting, on how to read a recipe, and pantry suggestions. This was a fantastic way to start cooking. I never really cooked before as an omnivore, so the tips were helpful when transitioning to an entirely plant-based lifestyle. This was a great book to show the omnivores in my life that vegan baking is delicious!! Plus you don't need eggs or dairy for things to taste rich and moist! I've made about a dozen recipes out of the book, all good. I'm buying this book for my mom and mom-in-law, sister, and some friends.
Colleen Patrick-Goudreau is now my hero.

I am definitely impressed with this cookbook. The quick biscuits and scones recipes have been getting major workout in my kitchen and the response has been very positive. A drawback is that the ingredients list can get a bit lengthy and I rarely use the suggested egg replacement as I don't like eating processed foods. Many times I just use a banana or flax seed as the egg replacement and things work out!

I've only made a couple of recipes so far...but both with rave reviews...as a matter of fact - the "mexican wedding cookies" have become my signature cookie and are a huge hit with my non-vegan friends and family. No matter how many I make there are never any left over. I can't wait to try more!

This is a really wonderful book not only full of delicious recipes but really useful baking tips such as how to stock your kitchen and troubleshooting baking problems. I regularly make the Oatmeal Raisin Cookies and can't seem to make enough of them, everyone (family, friends and co-workers) really enjoys them!
