This review is from: The Kuna Gathering: Contemporary Village Politics in Panama (Paperback)
James Howe is the expert on Kuna culture. I have f=read his ethnographies about this fascinating group of people and have found his notes accurate and insightful. His documentation inspired me to visit Kuna Yala and I have fallen for this amazing culture. If you are not in to reading text books, perhaps this book is not for you. but, if you are looking for valuable insight and information about the Kuna before your visit, i highly recommend this book.
