5.0 out of 5 stars Free Training DVD Included! Sept. 16 2010
By Donna - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I just purchased this book at a local book store....I have just started reading it and I love it....the pictures are great and so far so is the book....It's easy to understand and it takes you from early puppy to adult dog with training problems....I would recommend the purchase of this book. p.s. If and when you are able to download this book onto your Kindle....you might think about the Free Training DVD inside the purchased book prior....just a thought.

It's well done but very elementary. The pictures are vivid and the content is geared for children. I would have loved it when I had l kids at home.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this book! Dec 29 2010
By AngelaT - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I got this book as a Christmas present from my kids. I read it all in just 2 days! I love my black lab, and this book is so helpful! I wish I would have had this book before I even got my lab so I could have started certain advices sooner. It tells you everything you need to know about loving, caring for and living with these wonderful dogs!

2.0 out of 5 stars Poorly Written June 14 2013
By Matt - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I'm giving this two stars by subtracting a star for each of three things:
1) She writes in a condescending tone to you throughout the book.
2) Inconsistencies -p. 79 says labs need to be fed twicea day after 8 weeks. Then it says 4 times a day between 2 and 4 months old. Poorly reviewed.
3) Not practical - at one point the author suggests to reduce or quit your job, and if you work, spend 2 hours from 530 to 730am solely doing lab activities. And that's just part of your day, every day.
