Book Description

Aug 3 2005 Young Spirit Books

Once upon no time there was a Little Soul . . .

And this Little Soul wanted to understand forgiveness. Except the Little Soul didn't just want to understand forgiveness--the Little Soul wanted to experience forgiveness and know what it felt like to forgive another. So God helped in the best of all possible ways: by putting the Little Soul in the body of Meghan, a newborn baby just beginning to explore all the magic the world had to offer.

But God never sends any Little Soul to Earth all alone. God sent along Melvin, a guardian angel, and a promise that God would always be there--even if the Little Soul forgot from time to time.

Experience the world through the eyes of the Little Soul in her first few moments on Earth as Meghan meets her mommy and daddy, learns about love, and begins to figure out what it means--and how it feels--to be human.

The Little Soul and the Earth is a delightful, vividly told and illustrated tale from the team that created The Little Soul and the Sun. The first of a new series of Little Soul adventures, it exemplifies the vital truth that God is with us always, no matter where our own adventures lead and no matter how many times we may forget that truth. Gently reminding us that beauty and love are all around, the world of the joyous Little Soul is a place your child will want to visit again and again.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Little Soul and the Earth Jan 31 2008
By Tami Brady HALL OF FAME TOP 50 REVIEWER
Format:Hardcover
Based upon Neale Donald Walsch's Conversations with God, The Little Soul and the Earth is heartwarming. Essentially, the story follows the little soul as it goes through the birth process. While waiting, the little soul is eager to be born but is afraid of leaving the love of the other side. Once born, the little soul learns that she is a girl named Meghan and that she has a guardian angel named Melvin who will stay with her throughout her life. Meghan also learns that she has a Mommy and a Daddy who love her very much.

What a truly brilliant story! The premise is simple yet so very moving. What a wonderful way to introduce another little soul to this life.

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful book filled with superb illustrations! Nov 11 2005
By Siva Balan - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I really love this book because the wordings are simple yet complex. For example, the messages contained in this book has a deeper philosophical meaning and the average child would not be able to understand the deeper meaning contained in this book. Another reason why this book is so beautiful to read is because of its lovely drawings. The drawings are an inspiration to view at for countless of hours and it filled me with wonder and amazement on the beauty of life and creation. Even the colourful illustrations have a deeper symbolic meaning as it probes the reader to think about the meaning of life, reincarnation and God. This is truly a masterpiece from Neale Donald Walsch! Highly recommended for ALL ages!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book for children and adults Feb 24 2006

A while back a friend read a portion of this book to me over the phone and I just loved it! I had to have it for my grandson and one of my grown children so I bought one for them too. It points out so well how those that we believe hate us or treat us badly can be our greatest teachers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Sequel Mar 29 2006
By John the Italian - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
It's a pretty okay job of having the same tone as And the Sun if not the same unique impact. As expected the illustrations are amazing, and it's fun to visualize on your own. The biggest issue with this is that it only can get its full effect if you've read the other book or are familiar with the author's other material. Otherwise it's probably not the most high-powered universal way to get these ideas across. Great writer though. For anyone in the same boat as Chuck Brown, seek the definition of "parable" in the first available dictionary.
