About the Author
Anna-Marie Ferguson, a Scorpio, was born November 10, 1966, in the heart of the New Forest, Hampshire, England. When she was ten years old her family emigrated to rural Alberta, Canada. Anna returned to England in 1982 to undergo training in graphic design. She eventually returned to Alberta, where she continued a career in design, devoting her spare time to developing her illustrating skills, ably assisted by her three cats.
Anna's fascination with Celtic legends and the Tarot began when she was a child in England. The atmosphere of the New Forest was steeped in history, and faithful readings of the legends cultivated an appreciation of "the romantic" in Anna. Such formative influences have inspired Anna to keep this bygone age alive through her art.

Top Customer Reviews
(1) Anna-Marie Ferguson's watercolour art is beautiful, colourful, and accessible for a beginner to Tarot;
(2) the Guide book explains the legendary figures of medieval Wales in very good detail;
(3) her descriptions of the otherworldly priestesses, maidens, warriors and magicians are told almost as story, bringing them alive;
(4) While her descriptions of the Tarot's major and minor arcanas are brief I feel that this allows the beginner to explore the deck without overwhelming the beginner.
I look forward to years of using this new deck, along with my other favourites!
The paper the cards are printed on is thin. Other reviewers are very right about that most definitely. I knew that ahead, it's so consistently stated by others on Amazon, so I got this deck for display purposes. I'll be putting a few cards at a time on miniature wooden easels.
I knocked off one star for the paper quality because this is such a fantastic package and it would be far more respectful and right if the publisher decided to produce this deck again with more durable paper.
