4.0 out of 5 stars I believed every word of it., Dec 4 2000
This review is from: The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this book about 10 years ago and all my friends who were technical writers liked it. We practiced moving our heads ever so slightly to try and slip between the molecules. Well, we were much younger then and lunch hours were much longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's all about the penguins, okay not really...just read the book., Mar 10 2007

Selena Elizabeth (Parry Sound, ON CANADA) - See all my reviews
A fantastic adventure, as always with Douglas Adams, I found THE LONG DARK TEA-TIME... hysterical, the main character, detective Dirk Gently, eminently likeable and this is the sequel to his first adventure DIRK GENTLY'S HOLISTIC DETECTIVE AGENCY (1987) which I will be sure to read soon. This is a tale of electronic I Ching calculators, angry Norse gods, exploding airport terminals, and the interconnectedness of everything. There's also a lamp that turns into a kitten and we learn that the 90% of the human brain which we don't use is, in fact, filled with penguins.
