The page says that it's unabridged. It's NOT. It is abridged. Heavily. Amazon, if you are reading this, please change your page to reflect reality.

I haven't actually bought this, but was confused by the contradictory information (it says both abridged and unabridged) so this is NOT a review, but more of an FYI.

I enjoyed this telling of the lord of the rings. I listened to it while I was sick in bed or stuck at home to help pass the time. It was not a story unknown to me as I have read the books and seen the movies too... so I was not riveted to every word. However as an audio book it was easy to tune in or tune out and focus on other things.

I thought that it was well done and seemed true to the books as my memory served.
