JUST RELEASED:
THE LOST JOURNAL OF INDIANA JONES™

The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation is pleased to release one of its most prized holdings, the heretofore "lost" journal of Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones, Jr., which was obscured within the KGB's collection for years before passing into the Russian Federation's possession. From Jones's notes on his youthful encounters with the likes of Lawrence of Arabia and Teddy Roosevelt, through his adulthood adventures with the Thuggee Cult, the Nazis, and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, this journal covers nearly fifty years in his life, spanning from 1908 to 1957. Dr. Jones's snapshots, sketches, press clippings, and entries recording his personal thoughts are all revealed in this volume, giving new insight into one of the most enigmatic adventurers of the twentieth century.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Lost Journal, A Found Treasure, Dec 12 2011
This review is from: The Lost Journal of Indiana Jones (Imitation Leather)
This book is a delight, not just for the adult baptized by the movie at the impressionable age of 13, but as a father sharing the adventure of life with his two sons who dress the part, and now carry the "Journal" of their adventures. Each picture and detail is immaculately recreated and the time-line of Indiana Jones is reproduced with care and attention. A perfect addition to our Indiana Jones collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Few Hours of Almost-True Fun, Nov 14 2011
This review is from: The Lost Journal of Indiana Jones (Imitation Leather)
The premise of the book is, dare I say, almost ingenious. Only because it really doesn't get used all that often. This is made out to be Indiana's ACTUAL diary/journal. A smile will come across your face for some of the pages, and others you can just marvel at the artwork and the time it seemed to have taken to create some of the designs. I understand there was a TV show chronicling his young years, then 4 movies, so the book is obviously going to concentrate mostly on the movies and some on the TV show. The only reason to take one star off is that there is only one story to read about in between Last Crusade and Crystal Skull. Really? If this is a journal, he had NO time at all in almost 2 decades to just jot down some intriguing info about anything at all? Even if it didn't make sense to us readers/fans, imagine all the speculation we could go through with mere tidbits of info? Again, I understand this is propaganda for a new movie coming out at the time, and it is very entertaining propaganda nonetheless. But if they took the time to create one story about his adventure in trying to find Atlantis, what else might this man have done in almost 2 decades leading up to Crystal Skull? Almost endless possibility, really. But I digress. An excellent conversation piece for a coffee table-type book that does not disappoint in the quality-of-workmanship department.
