Memory Cruising,

Seasons One and Two were such a delight to watch! They brought back many happy memories of watching these in the 70's. Since it was so long ago, I'd forgotten the sepcific episodes, so I experienced the added pleasure of seeing them as though they were new.They're also a great social/cultural touchstone, as one can recall and witness the styles, attitudes, values and even history which was relevant at that time. There is an innocence to the shows which one sees lacking today. Yes, the plot lines are quite simple, but don't all we humans need some fairy-tale endings in our oftentimes dreary lives? My only criticism is that both seasons came in two volumes, and the total cost was high. However, if I were to calculate the many hours of viewing pleasure, it would be greatly mitigated.

This initial Love Boat series is doomed to commercial failure with an absolutely absurb pricing of $ 115 !!!Only the biggest stars appearing on this TV series would waste that much money on the DVD's... Oh hell no! I loved the series, but not for 2 seasons at $115. What idiot came up with that price? So when all seasons come out do they really think people are going to pay $1,000 for a 70s tv show? I don't think so.

Sorry Charlie and the rest of the Love Boat gang. There is no way I would pay your insane price despite the fact that I am obsessed with this series.No one should buy this at this price. Show them who's in charge and pay for it when it's priced at market value. |
