This series is absolutely one of the best out there. Every book so far had its own crime to be solved and a little detail about Anita's private live. Lunatic Cafe is no exception. The story continues 2 months after the events in Circus of the Damned. Anita was free from Jean- Claude vampire marks and she is dating Richard. The fact that Richard is a werewolf is beside the point. But in Anita's world there doesn't seem to be a happy ever after. Quickly there is another case to be solved and Jean-Claude tries to convince Anita that if she can date Richard, she can also date another monster - him. With this new case Anita learns more about lycanthropes. Werewolves, were rats, were leopard and even a swan. I sometimes wonder how Anita gets into some of the situations she is in, but like I said before - this is part of her world that makes it interesting. The action scenes in this book are very intense. She gets a beating more than once in this book, but still manage to come out on top. And she have to sort out her love life as well!! It is these little things that remind us that Anita is not a super hero. She is just human.
