I found The Main clear and easy to read as a recipe book with excellent illustrations. Menu items were varied and ingredients readily availble. Great as a cook book or table book. Well written and informative.

Great recipes, i bought the book.. love it. He is amazing.. i just wish that I didn't find all the recipes in his book for free on the food network canada's site. They're all there. But it's a great book, great gift, and he is brilliant!

This cookbook has FAST become a family favortie. I gave a copy to my daughter in L.A. and we have both made many dishes from this book - all EXCELLENT. so refreshing to see a cookbook of this quality by a CANADIAN!

The layout and photography in this book are second to none. Very professional, nice to just browse through!

I've tried a few of the recipes and like most of them. It is the easiest Index to work through.

I recommend adding this one to your cookbook collection.

This books has awesome pictures and would make you drool even by looking. Have made 3 different recipes out of this so far, including the oven roast, clam spaghetti, and mango salad. The first two turned out VERY good and were easy enough to make. However, I believe that he proposed to use the wrong kind of wrapper for the spring roll in the mango salad because when the rice paper-wrapped rolls went into the oil for deep frying... It was just a mess. The rice paper was sticky to the chopsticks and so it was very challenging not to break the wrap and have everything spill out. The julienning of the ingredients was also a nightmare. He does tell you the order you should make things in, but I wish that he also includes time estimations as well.

First off I love the show, I am completely hooked on the Food Network. When I ordered this book I wanted to open my husband and I's tastebuds so to speak and try out things that my mom didn't teach me growing up. The only down side to this book is some of the ingredients, you really have to search for some of this stuff if you do find it. I like in Canada and sometimes the grocery stores do not have some of the specialty items you need to make the recipe exactly how it should be done.
Over all though, not a bad choice - if you want to try something new, give this book a try.
