As a constant reader, my finding Mankell has been a rare treat. I have in scarce months read all of his books. Anyone who enjoys a police procedural, would like to learn a great deal of Sweden and meet a wonderful character in Kurt Wallender, read all of Mankell. His stand alone novels are equally excellent. The translator for most of the books- Laurie Thompson- does an excellent job.

Ah, Henning Mankell. Read anything that he has written; it's all good. His translator must also be a very good writer, as it flows so well.

All of Mankell's Wallander books are extremely well written. This one is no exception. Start reading this series, if you haven't already.
