"The Martian's House" is a simple story aimed at young children: pre-school through about the 2nd grade, I think. It's a cute story about Neenoo the Martian and his buddy Rocket the Robot. Neenoo and Rocket are building Neenoo's dream house and furnishing it, and they're having fun doing it.
Two things make the story stand out above other children's stories:
1. The colorful cartoon illustrations.
2. The interactive nature of the story, with children being asked their responses to questions or to draw something.
The story itself is very short, but the interactive features could keep a group of kids occupied for a good while.
And don't stop with the book. The author gives a link to her website, where she has some fun activities, including a musical video trailer for the story and some cute songs that kids will enjoy, plus some coloring book pages to download and print.
Kudos to Denisa Senovsky and her two talented illustrators for a fun children's activity book and complementary activities on her website.
Note: The author sent me a copy of the book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
