5.0 out of 5 stars I so enjoyed this book Aug. 5 2014

I so enjoyed this book! The main characters enthralled me from beginning to end. Kennedy and Zach's sexual tension made this romance an intriguing read! From Christine Glover's very descriptive writing style I could absolutely picture all the characters vividly and got caught up in all the goings on. I can't wait to catch up with the rest of gang in Sweetbrier Springs!

4.0 out of 5 stars Haunting Past June 30 2014
By McIn - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
Wow, wow! He is a corporate mogul and she is a construction company owner. They have history...real history. Maverick and Kennedy's chemistry just jumps off the page. They were young and went through hurt and heartache. But some hurts still remain. Can they keep this relationship professional when deep down inside they want each other more than they ever did before, even though, they do not realize it? Or will secrets destroy what they could have?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I think you will too.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Maverick's Red Hot Reunion Aug. 7 2014

Zack Tanner used to be a manager at Sweetbriar Springs Lodge 6 years ago when Kennedy Gibson and he were involved with each other. Her father is the owner of the construction company that she grew up in and is now the CEO of. Not just any CEO she is also hands on from wheedling a hammer, looking at blueprints, to picking out décor. She does it all.
You see six years ago Zach and Kennedy were so close they were due to get married. But, when Kennedy miscarried the child they were due to have she out and out told Zach she couldn’t marry him. She couldn’t marry him because she didn’t love him or she said she was doing it to protect him from more heart ache. He wanted a big family one thing she thought was not possible from what she was told.
Zack being a fixer he knew she didn’t have it in her to go through all kinds of testing she couldn’t take it. She was also protecting herself. From this gorgeous man who was a take charge let’s find a solution and get it fixed. No matter how far, long and at what cost to wallet or heart. She had to protect them both.
Not expect Michael their best friend that had brought them together to begin with would become ill with ALS. With that he would throw them together to work as he fought for his life as well as thousands of others fundraising while he could. Losing a child is devastating and he wasn’t around before or after and she resented him. See how they work through it when brought back together.
I really enjoyed the twist and turns and all the emotions of what it is like to lose a child. They was it is to love someone so much and to do something that you think is for their own good and only to find out the only thing that happened was a lot more heartache. I gave this story 5 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars They fell in love young, got engaged and pregnant June 30 2014

Zach and Kennedy have a lot of history. They fell in love young, got engaged and pregnant, lost the baby and broke up. Fast forward five years, and the serious illness of a good friend has brought them back together. They slowly work their way back to each other and start to build the life they thought they would have.

I instantly confected with Zach, but Kennedy slowly began to grow on me. I was routing for them by the end of the story.
Overall I wish the pace of the story was a little faster, and
I received a free copy for an honest review.Beth and Beth were best friends until Ben decided to move to New York. He asks Beth to move with him and she refuses, thus setting the stage a year later for a fun yet shouldering completion. They have both developed similar products and are trying to impress an investor. They also decide to follow their chemistry and begin to pursue each other.

The writing is fast paced, but the dialogue is witty and fun. The story does a good job of setting out history and the supporting characters are well rounded.

3.0 out of 5 stars ok but not great June 30 2014
By Snoopydoo - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
I really didn’t care much for this book. The whole story kind of felt forced and I found it hard to connect or relate to the characters. The dialog also was not the greatest and sometimes something you would expect to hear in High school.
Both characters got on my nerves sometimes.
Most of the time they were thinking of how they want the other person, no matter what was going on even when he was just simply drinking she got all hot and bothered. It was just weird and awkward to read at times. The other times they were thinking about what they had and have lost in the past.
It was not all bad; there were some good parts in the book that were enjoyable.
Overall I rate it as 2 ★
