Product Description

Book Description

Captain Blake having been assassinated at Athens Airport, Olrik seems to have won the first round. A furious Mortimer swears that he'll avenge his friend. He goes on the hunt for Olrik, but information is scarce. Sheik Abdel Razek, an old man with mysterious powers, protects him against Dr. Grossgrabenstein's crew. The doctor is a devoted Egyptologist who has undertaken excavations not far from the Great Pyramid. Amidst strange events, Mortimer sometimes feels like he's losing his way in this investigation that will lead him into the darkest depths of the Great Pyramid.

Wonderful, in spite of a slightly wonky translation. Feb 7 2010
By George M. Seminara - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
The highly satisfying conclusion of Blake and Mortimer's adventure, The Mystery of the Great Pyramid, Part 2. Suffers slightly from the translation which can be a bit confusing to young readers. However, that said, the art and story telling is top notch. Blake and Mortimer should be sitting on the shelf with Tintin and all the very best of European comics.
Another in this classic franco-belgium sf series April 18 2012

Finally, after many years after Comcat put out a couple of B&M albums, someone is putting this series out in English. I've long heard about this series, but had never read it. It's great that they have, and I plan on getting all of them.

If there is one issue I have, it's that I wish they had reprinted them in their original order. As the the 2-part "Mystery of the Great Pyramid" comes BEFORE the Yellow Mark, its a little confusing to read them out of order. And it appears the 4th book Cinebooks is putting out is actually the thirteen story, and one NOT done by EP Jacobs!!!

I'd also love to see the Jacob's "U-Ray", the prototype standalone "flash gordon"-like story that served as a loose inspiration published as well.

As a two-parter, be sure to have the first volume to read before this, and read "The Yellow Mark" NEXT.

Lousy shipping for a great product Jan 22 2009
By Reads A Lot - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is the SECOND time I attempted to buy this item through Amazom.
The first time I ordered this item, it arrived DAMAGED.

So, the ever optimist that I am, I decided to order this item again for a Christmas prsent. Again, the item arrived DAMAGED.

It's a sad commentary you have to cross your figers and hope this item arrives UNDAMAGED. You're paying for a NEWS item and it arrives looking like something battered and used.
