This review is from: The Nicene Faith (Paperback)
John Behr does a wonderful job introducing some key players in the 4th c. Trinitarian debates surrounding the Christian doctrine of God. The 4th c. was a pivotal century for Christians learning how to faithfully articulate what it means to worship Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Behr's style is readable. Someone new to the field should have no problem hearing Behr's arguments and making sense of them. Behr's Orthodox (i.e. Eastern) commitment shines through at times, but with a great deal of charity and ecumenical concern toward Christians within Western traditions(Catholics and Protestants). Recommended!
