You hold in your hand the key to a shadow world of shivers and screams. Take a step away from the safe, comfortable world you know. Unlock the door to terror. There's always room for one more in...The Nightmare Room.

Mr. Moon is throwing a Halloween party, and Tristan and his best friend Rosa have been invited. How lame! Tristan thinks. He'd rather be trick-or-treating than hanging out with his teacher!

But Mr. Moon's party is far from lame...because he's got a couple of werewolves on the guest list! Can Tristan escape the party? Or will he find himself trapped by a werewolf in The Nightmare Room?

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Book Ever! Aug. 20 2001
Format:Paperback
This is the best book I ever read. I entered the contest ... and I won this free book. I read it two times already. But this story continues on with two more books. The second is already out in stores called What scares you the most? Well, this book is about a girl name April Powers that has been chosen to be in an island with eleven other honor students for a competition called the Life Games. When she was put on a team weird things started to happen. everyone thinks April has magical powers. But she doesn't have magical powers some evil spirit is making her have magical powers. One day, after they won the third competition they were stranded on an island. So that where the second book comes in. If you want to read this book, I totally recommened this book. I think R.L. Stine is the best author for horror and mystery books. Trust me I read almost all his book. Hi R.L. Stine if your reading this!

April is thrilled when she learns she is one of twelve honor students chosen by "The Academy" to spend two weeks during the spring on a tropical island, meeting celebrities and competing in a series of games and events. But when the kids arrive on the island, April senses that something is not right. Mysterious accidents and illnesses strike both the kids and the staff, and April uncovers evidence that someone else may be living on the supposedly deserted island. The other kids on her team refuse to listen to April. They just care about being the team to win the $100,000 prize. April's on her own, and an ancient evil filled with a thirst for revenge is out to get her. This book starts off the Thrillogy, a special three-part story arc from the Nightmare Room series. I highly reccomend this book to fans of the previous book.

I loved R.L. Stine's Goosebumps series and I was thrilled when he came out with this new series. This book is about a girl named April. She is thrilled when she learns that she was specially selected from a place called "The Academy" along with eleven other teens to compete in a competition called Life Games. The winners will split a $100,000 prize. When she arrives, the staff has a role call. Somehow there are thirteen teens there. One of them is not supposed to be there. That's when weird stuff starts to happen. When they have their first group competition April messes it up and loses the competition. Her team becomes mad at her. Staff members and team groups begin to leave mysteriously. What will happen next? You won't be able to put this book down once you read it.
