This is an incredible book that will absolutly help you pass the PMP. I wrote the exam and am proud to say that I passed on my first try.........It was an incredibly difficult exam but this book covers everything you need to know, I did not even look at PMbok. The only drawback however is that the questions in the book are on the easy side, so make sure you supplement with other questions. I have new respect for the PMP, if you can get this certification it is definitely worth it........it's not easy to get.

This book was excellent. I read and did the exercises starting from page 1 and went right to the end. It's the only study guide you will need to pass the exam if you do as the book instructs. The online tutorial was also excellent. One week access to the material might not be quite enough but if you complete the book first then go to the online tutorial you should have enough time to get through it all. Plus you get 15 PDUs for completing the online work. The one problem I had was there were some formulas missing in chapter 4 but that has been corrected for subsequent printings of the 4th edition. When I called amazon customer service to complain they sent me a new book of the most recent printing.

I used this book together with a PMBOK, and passed the PMP exam on a first try.
The example quiz on the end of each chapter and the final exam on the end of the book are very useful and I think that they have helped me to pass exam.
Another thing is, that there are formulas that you need to know on the exam which you can find in this book, and are not in a PMBOK

If you are seeking the PMP designation, this book is a great tool. Reading the Guide to PMBOK is a tough go and is essential as part of your studying, but Andy Crowe's book is like "PMBOK lite". Its an easy read and focuses on the key elements. The practice exams are very good as well. In order to obtain the PMP on my first try, I used: PMBOK, Head First PMP, and this book by Andy Crowe. I also bought Andy's audio CDs. While those aren't really necessary, I did enjoy listening to it while driving. It gave a few extra examples and different perspective that compliments the book nicely. Good luck to all future PMPs.

I used this book to pass my PMP test, it is based on the original PMBOK 4th edition. Highly recommended!

I read widely for the PMP exam, and can say that Andy Crow's material is one of the best source of PMP knowledge that I used pass the PMP exam. He takes the time to explain in simple language and with few words the essential concepts of the PMBOK. I read only limited parts of the PMBOK as I did not find it user friendly. For this reason I relied heavily on Andy's book and it did not disappoint me. You will need to supplement this book with practice questions and answers as well as do the final exam in the back of Andy's book to gain the confidence to pass the PMP exam. Good luck.
