I fell in love with this Movie as a child. To the point my mother found me a copy of the movie to keep.

The movie is based off a Norweigan fairytale. 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' The movie change points of it. but the meaning and baseline is still there. There is also a book called East By Eddith Pattou, based on the fairytale.

About A young girl<No name> who befriends a Polar bear<Valamont> who is a prince that was cursed by witch when he refused to marry her. Stuck as a polar bear tell he finds a girl who can love him for what he is. But for seven long year's, as he transforms back into a man only at midnight. She can never see his face.

The girl travel from her winterkingdom, to live with him at his palace in the summer land. She bear a female child, that goes missing as Valamont mother senses the witch well try and take their child away from them. Same again when she bares a set twin girls, again only to be taken by his mother out of fear for a witch.

Out of dispare, She travels back to see her father and sisters. Only to be tricked into brings a lighter back to see his face at night. With the seven years almost up.

Unknownly she cast her husband into the hands of the witch by the sight of seeing his face. With her strength and courage, she travels to bring back her husband. Only to meet her husband mother, and her children on the way without knowing it. They help get to the queen castle.

In the end she saves him and destroys the witch and it a happy ending.
they regain there children and are a family.

The fairytale is remonescant of Beauty and Beast. For who can love a polar bear.

I absolutely loved this movie, as a kid, my dad would bring my brother and myself to the video store, and I'd always rent the movie when it was my turn. A couple of years ago, the store went out of business, and I haven't been able to find the video since, either online to purchase or in other video stores. If anyone has any information about how to get this movie, please reply to this. Thank you.
