The all-time classic -- completely updated to meet the needs of the 21st century achiever!

Since the original publication of The Psychology of Achievement, Brian Tracy has become established as one of the world's leading experts in personal development and a mentor to countless other speakers and thought leaders in the personal development industry. Given the widespread economic, societal and cultural changes over the past quarter century, Brian felt it was time to update this incredible program. You'll learn how to:

• Develop a rock-solid self-concept based on the latest research in Positive Psychology.

• Get on the fast track to achieving your goals faster than you've ever dreamed possible

• Discover how to set "flex" goals which are adaptable to a fast-changing economy

• Eliminate the time and productivity wasters caused by e-mail, instant messaging, and other electronic communication devices

• Master a foolproof 12-point formula that quadruples productivity

• Learn how to nurture your most important relationships and leave a legacy

• And much more!

Featuring all-new studio recordings, Brian has preserved the great and timeless ideas from the original program, and added newer research and innovative concepts relevant to the "wired" world and global marketplace in which you live and work. The result will electrify the imagination and ignite the ambition of anyone who is serious about achieving success today.

2.0 out of 5 stars Love Brian Tracy's Work, but.... Dec 2 2009
By Howard Platt - Published on Amazon.com
I am a huge fan of Brian Tracy's work, however as the saying goes "You can get too much of a good thing!" I think Brian went on a little rampage there for a while and it seemed as though he was creating a new product every other week. The "ORIGINAL" version of Psychology of Achievement is a Master Piece and it will never come to be outdated. Without any exaggeration I can honestly tell you that the original version which I purchased years ago changed the way I was living my life in every aspect. I to this day still listen to the program often and thanks to that program I have the skills to raise my daughter to have the greatest self-worth, self-esteem and self-confidence, my only regret is that I did not have that program when I had my first child who is now 25 years old. Unfortunately the new version is just rehashed information from a mix of Brian's work, it does not even cover many of the same aspects of life and growth as in the original version. I cannot say the product is horrible, but as a fan of the young enthusiastic Brian Tracy I did not find this program to add any real intellectual value to my extensive personal development library. Sorry Brian! I am still a huge fan and I attribute your work to making me a much better person who has achieved a highly level of success than I would have if I was never introduced to your programs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent resource for successful living Oct 19 2009

In the 1980s I listened to the original Psychology of Achievement. As cliche as this may sound, it truly made a great impact on my life. I was delighted to find a new, up-to-date version. The New Psychology of Achievement has had the same impact on me as the original. If you are someone who would like to keep your mind focused on where you want to go and get going in that direction, The New Psychology of Achievement is worth every penny--and probably more. I have recommended it to many friends, and I bet they have done the same!

1.0 out of 5 stars I hoped for more and got less from the master Sep 17 2010

Based on the 6 CD audio program. - After being a huge fan of Brian Tracy, and his work, this audio set is disappointing. I have the original Psychology of Achievement, and have listened to it for over 10 years. I have also read the book that is closest to the audio, Maximum Achievement. This New Psychology of Achievement, does not follow or expand on the original work. Having read almost all of Brian's books and owning several audio collections, I found it difficult to determine the various sources for what is presented in this audio. Because the new audio is so distant from the original program, I found myself wondering what Brian's intent was is creating this recording. It seems like a poor effort to stay in the minds of his fans. Like an actor who has been forgotten and hypes a come-back, it never lives up to the hype. I think Brian's earlier work is amazing. However, it has become obvious that he has seen better days. Much of his newer stuff is just repeats of of old stuff recompiled. I'm not sure where Brian was going when he vented his very conservative political frustration. I got the feeling he was using this platform to bash the current liberal administration. I don't think Brian was fully in control at the time he recorded this program. He was either battling or recovering from cancer. I would have given the audio a 3 star rating because I am a fan, however, Brian crossed the line into politics and this makes me wonder if he is teaching to reach the masses with a conservative agenda. Very unprofessional, in my opinion. It must be his medication. One star, just the same. He knows better.

This change in Brian has been slow to come, but with the number of products being rushed out, it becomes more noticeable. No need to agree or disagree . It's just my opinion.
