Of the 3 prequels in this series, this one is the last and, in my opinion, the best.

It is a wonderful fictionalized account of the Rapture that, despite being fiction, is entirely worth reading. It makes some excellent points about a person's walk of faith that encourage a better path without making a person feel worthless.

Worth the read and the series is, too!

Makes a person wonder. What would happen if the rapture happened today.
Who will be raptured or not? Or survive the after effects.

Contrary to what Steve S. says about this book and others, it is an amazing book and yes the rapture does exist. Just because you don't believe in God and his word does not mean it does not exist!! I have the entire series and i could not put them down. Friends and family who read it as fiction also could not put it down. At least i am not putting my faith in something that was man made within the last few years...I WILL PRAY FOR YOU STEVE :)

LaHayne and Jenkins are not writers, they are propagandists. Their poorly written books are not entertaining, and they are not intended to be. They are intended to scare you into supporting their goofy agenda: Ooh, the rapture is coming, and if you do not live your life the way they say, you will suffer!

If you are looking for science fiction or similar escapist fantasy, look elsewhere. For that matter, if you are looking for intelligent, thoughtful and entertaining Christian writing, look elsewhere, e.g., C.S. Lewis. If you are looking to be taken for a fool, then buy this book.
