5.0 out of 5 stars Nice book to read!, May 8 2011
By Magic Kingdom Family - Published on Amazon.com
Really cool book to read. You meet even more interesting characters in this 'oz' book. Classic book to read! (Especially when it's free!) Great quality on kindle. I would personally DEFINITEY recommend this book to anyone reading this review right now. I love this book so much! In my opinion, this isn't really a challenging read, but it's still nice to read once in a while!

5.0 out of 5 stars Oz Radio Drama is wonderful, Nov 5 2011
By J. Brewster "OTR fan" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Road to Oz: A Radio Dramatization (Audio CD)
As I mentioned in another review on this OZ series, The Colonial Radio people hit a home run with L. Frank Baum's OZ books, and this is the most unusual of the bunch - if it is possible to be more unusual in the land of OZ. I won't give detail of the story because it has been around for a hundred years, but all the sound effects and the music really bring this story to life like a movie soundtrack. I had this set on cassette tape, and this version seems to be edited down a little bit, but if anything it sounds better. In the book version, it says that "Johnny Do-It" sings a song as he builds them a boat so they can cross the deadly desert, and in the recording they sing the song - and it's a hoot. I think kids will love this program, and I am looking forward to more from Colonial Radio Theatre. Five stars!

4.0 out of 5 stars One of my Favorite Oz books, Feb 11 2011

Charming for an older child or pre-teen to read. As all the characters from the original Wizard of Oz appear, even people who have only read that book or saw the movie, should be able to follow along without too much trouble.
