Remarkable job of explaining "the other side of the coin", Jan 12 2004

The use of references in the book are excellent, and I especially appreciate the references mentioned throughout the book after many important points. I also think Dr.O'Shea did an excellent job of placing certain terms or important points in bold. The discussions on the difference between Vaccination vs. Immunization, Natural vs. Artificial Immunity, and the decline in diseases prior to vaccines also make very good and important points. If anyone has any doubts as to whether or not the government is putting their health and well-being first, just read this book and you will find the answer when he explains the money and political sides of vaccination. And remember, VACCINATION is the correct term, NOT IMMUNIZATION.

At first blush, this book seems a little alarmist. However, if you have any inkling of the influence of megacorporations, you'll realize that all of this is more than plausible. You need to read many books and talk to many people before you make vaccination decisions. You also have to look at everything you are doing to keep your baby healthy. For instance, if you are bottle feeding a baby who spends 10 hours a day in a crowded day care center, your approach must be different than for a breastfed baby who gets to stay at home.

I own this wonderful book proudly! This book is so full of history and facts of childhood illnesses, that it will leave you wondering why we trust so easily. A must have for anyone who is or is not thinking about the vaccines given to their children.
I love this book and CAN NOT say enough good things about it!
