The track listing reads like a who's who of the nu-metal genre, with brand-new songs from chart toppers including Godsmack, Creed, and Nickelback. Especially strong are System of a Down's orchestrated-meets-intense "Streamline," Sevendust's fervent and unique "Corrected," and Nickelback's raucous, edgy, raw rocker "Yanking Out My Heart," while Creed's typically musically morose five-minute ballad "To Whom It May Concern" will certainly delight fans. New band 12 Stones show promise with their straightahead, guitar-heavy "My Life," while Flaw's layered, soaring, and mesmerizing "Only the Strong" sounds hit-bound, as does Injected's vibrant "Burn It Black." As with Godsmack, Mushroomhead's contribution was penned specially for the movie, the suitably "soundtracky" audio track "turned down" to suit the onscreen action. If the flick--the third of the Mummy series--fades from memory quickly, its musical accompaniment is well equipped to stand the test of time. --Katherine Turman

This is a very good, fairly hard soundtrack. The one thing I liked about this soundtrack is that there were no real clunkers. On 99% of soundtracks like Daredevil and Little Nicky for example, theres always just those 2 or 3 tracks that were really terrible. Here, just about every song was solid. Ill give all the tracks ratings out of 5 stars.

Eh, it's a nu-metal soundtrack. You can't expect a whole lot of good material. However, I was elegantly surprised by System of a Down, Sevendust, Flaw, Mushroomhead and Coal Chamber. Creed wasn't even THAT bad! But I can't stand listening to whiny bands like Hoobastank and Nickelback. The rest of the album is overall mediocre. You'll find talentless bands like P.O.D. and Drowning Pool moping their way through meaningless songs. But the worst song on here is the Godsmack song! I can't stand it!!! They play that on the radio all the time, that's why I don't listen to radio anymore!!!!!!
Really, I recommend the Freddy vs. Jason soundtrack over this, it has its fair share of nu-metal bands but it's NOT radio-friendly. But honestly, if you're planning on making a GODD nu-metal soundtrack, you need to put these bands on it: Korn, Skunk Anansie, Human Waste Project, Snot, Type O Negative, Memento, Tool and Rage Against the Machine. Or, you could just try to listen to some REAL metal which I HIGHLY recommend: Slayer, Iced Earth, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, Arch Enemy, Lacuna Coil, Borknagar, The Gathering, Meshuggah, Cannibal Corpse, Pantera and the list goes on and on and on and on......

This was an awsome soundtrack with a display of many talents from many heavy rock and metal band's.This album also showed alot of new talent on here it deserves time for a song review or two. 1.I Stand Alone. The reason basically why i bought this song is awsome it was diffrent from Godsmack who show there edgy riffs and sully's hard voice displaying a perfect theme song and a nice video10/10.2Set it off well not much to say pod aint my style of rock 5/10(i do like sleeping awake)3.Break you nice new sound from drowning pool this is something almost as hard as the theme may my friend rest in peace. 4 Streamline if you've lost someone this song would make you sick but its an alrighty 8/10 .5 Whom it may concern Not a big fan of creed to much 7/10.6 Yankin out my heart good tune lead singer has a nice voice its no how u remind me but it cuts for an album8/10. 7Loosing my grip this is good the begining is nice but it turns out not as good in the end but still good 9/10 8.Only The Strong nice one from flaw these guy's are really talented 10/10 9.Iron Head ohhh yeah athis ones a classic ozzy really out does rob but they sound great together it the old school tearin up some new school 10/10 10.My life i listen to this some its actually good rock tabs in this on singin is a b so 10/10 11.Along the way i don't like the singing the drums get an a but u gotta have pain not saliva in ur throat.5/10 The rest of these will get all 8/10 because the album doesent get better from here the past is the best so i suggest listening to it.

I bought this CD abput a year ago, and I loved it. It has a bunch of bands that I cannot get enough of like Godsmack, POD, Sevendust, Rob Zombie/Ozzy Osbourne, and System of a down.
This CD also has a bunch of bands i have never heard of, and now I go to there concerts in Colorado. Like Lifer, Coal CHamber, and Mushroomhead.
I really love this CD. It manages to stay very hard, and has a very melodic sound to it. It has made me love many bands like Godsmack. I didn't like them until I heard "I Stand Alone." Now onto my track review.
"I Stand Alone"-Godsmack 10/10- Awesome song. This song is the whole reason I bought this CD. I saw the music video oon MTV (magnificent video BTW) and i fell in love. Truly wonderful.
"Set it Off (tweaker Remix)"-POD 8/10- Not the best song. Don't get me wrong, i love it. But i love it better on Satilite.
"Break You"-Drowning Pool 2/10- No. Drowning Pool at their worst.
"Streamline"-System of a Down 9/10- I truly do ove this song. It manages to be really fast and mellow at the same time. Beautiful.
"To Whoom it May Concern"-Creed 3/10- I can't stand this song.
"Yanking Out my Heart"-Nickleback 7/10- Not a bad song. Nice and hard.
"Losing my Grip"-Hoobastank 9/10- I loathed this song in the beginning, but when I got past the 'NSYNC part i truly loved it.
"Only the Strong"-Flaw 7/10- I tend not to like the slower songs, but this one manages a 7. Gets a little repitive, though...
"Iron Head"-Rob Zombie feat, Ozzy Osbourne 10/10- I love this song. It made me come to like Zombie. Hard, hard to understand. Perfect combo.
"My life"-12 Stones 8/10- slow, but in the end nice.
"Along the Way"-Mushroomhead 8/10- I like the drums in the beginning. It's nice anmd fast (the song).
