Book Description

Sept. 1 2008
When we look at people who have achieved great things, we often believe that they are more talented than the rest of us, or luckier, or more well-connected. But the only thing that separates the successful from everybody else is that they have learned how to bridge the gap between setting goals and achieving them. They have developed ways of behaving and -- more importantly -- ways of thinking that enable them to get what they want.

The good news is, it's possible for anyone to learn these techniques. As a parent or teacher you can sharpen your own skills . . . then pass them along to the teens in your lives.

Imagine implementing the concepts that "Secret teachers" and others are using to motivate thousands of adults and teens worldwide.

Imagine improved relationships, increased self-esteem, and a direct path to your dreams.

Imagine working with your children or students to help them get better grades, improve their results in sports, and pave a clear path to a brilliant future.

Instead of imagining, start right now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Thoughtful and creative Oct. 10 2008
I'm a clueless adult so heaven knows what I would have been like as a teenager so it's good to see that there are books coming out like this one which have the positive aim of helping teenagers take control of their lives through thought and action. This is not a book for wishful thinkers, this is for those teenagers who really want to make their lives a little happier, productive and positive i.e. all teenagers everywhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Secret For Teens Revealed Oct. 10 2008
How I wish I had this book when I was a young mother trying to understand my three young girls. Times may change but the insights revealed there would have been as relevant then as they are now. Andrea Samadi writes with a passion for young people and an understanding of their needs that is far beyond her years.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read!! Oct. 15 2008
By Mike Brooks - Published on
After reading through The Secret for Teens Revealed, all I could think
of was, why didn't this book come out when I was a teen! Everything I
wished I had learned as a teenager-the importance of goal setting,
developing healthy self-esteem, living in alignment with my values-I
finally did learn through years of trial and error, but if I'd had
Andrea's wonderful book back then, there's no telling how far I'd have
risen-and how much quicker!

The Secret for Teens Revealed should be required reading for teens and their parents (as well as teachers, administrators, etc.), and for anyone else who still wants to make the most of their life and life experience. A GEM of a book!"

5.0 out of 5 stars If you love your children, read it with them! Feb. 10 2009

This is a book for parents, teachers, and teens. I can't think of any reason not to read it. Andrea put her passion for teenagers in this beautiful book. My favorite part is that how all the questions make me stop and think. I worked with teenagers for 20 years, and as a mentor, I see this book as a perfect tool to guide them step by step; from understand themselves to achieve what they want in their life.

5.0 out of 5 stars A proactive approach to deal with adolescent (and adult) issues Aug. 3 2010

Andrea Samadi has hit a "homerun" with this book. Her experience as an educator and personal development instructor is blended in a way that any parent, educator, or one involved in the formation of young people should read and implement these concepts into their lives.

Ms. Samadi organizes her chapters in a manner suggesting she is very familiar with "best practices" in education. There is a pre-test before each chapter, valuable information in the middle and suggestions for taking the information into the real world. She successfully incorporates the concepts of multiple intelligence and individual learning styles in a way that involves the reader.

Pivotal points made in the introduction include a reminder that change takes time and energy. Knowledge, as measured on standardized tests, does not translate into results--in this case, personal growth.

It seems that since the beginning of the field of mental health, the focus has been on mental illness. It is past time for the current generation of young people be introduced in a systematic way to the positive aspects of their life.

The ten lessons with the five step approach in each chapter makes the text easy to follow. It may prove difficult at times to engage the student who has difficulty reading. However, there are enough exercises to engage most students.

The only concern raised when using this book was a reference on page 85 referring the reader back to the stick figure on page 58. Unfortunately, there was no stick figure on p. 58. Other than this very slight editorial error, as a psychologist and educator, I would recommend this book for any character education program or leadership class.

For those wishing to present this information to teens, it would be an excellent idea to read and apply the knowledge to their own lives before sharing the knowledge.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Secret For Teens Revealed Dec 26 2008

Andrea Samadi has written an important and masterful work. The real secret regarding this book is that it's not just for teens.

I have been involved in the personal development industry for over 20 years and can say for certain; this book is a tool for everyone. The concepts she approaches here are not elementary. They're fundamental. After years of coaching global clients I see topics, included here, that I receive questions on daily.

The beauty of her approach is that she explains these essential concepts clearly, gives examples that include graphics and then helps the reader integrate the transformational ideas into their life through thoughtful questioning.

I will now include Andrea Samadi in my list of master teachers that I recommend without hesitation.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Secret for Teens Revealed: How Parents, Teachers, and Teenagers Can Inspire Leadership and Transform Lives [Paperback] Nov. 16 2012
By David J Tyreman - Published on
A very close friend was experiencing severe panic because his wife was about to have breast cancer surgery. It suddenly seemed like every time he watched TV, read the paper or looked online someone was dying. He was so overwhelmed with fear that I worried he would die from the stress. He wasn't interested in The Secret and was almost offended when we had given him a copy, so I took it upon myself to use what I learned from The Secret and simply act like it was my own: I asked him to start writing things like "I'm so happy and grateful now that my wife is well again" and "I'm so happy and grateful that the surgery went so well" He did it and wrote to me telling me just how much better he felt repeating that one act each time he felt stressed. It changed his focus and helped him manifest success instead of wretched gloom. I'm beyond happy to say that the surgery went really well and soon afterwards he even wrote saying "I'm so happy and grateful to have you in my life". It was awesome for me to feel empowered with the tools I needed to inspire him and it was awesome to see him able to move past his fear and manifest what he wanted.

I learned some powerful and important lessons from The Secret, how fantastic that now these powerful lessons can be learned earlier in life as teens AND I love that parents and teachers can work together to inspire such leadership. This work does transform peoples lives, because I have experienced it.

I highly recommend this book
