About the Author
Bryan Chick is the author of the Secret Zoo series. He originally had the idea for the story when he was a nine-year-old and wondered what would happen if zoo exhibits had secret doors that allowed children to go inside . . . and the animals to come outside. He lives with his wife and three children in Clarkston, Michigan.

I began reading The Secret Zoo series to my children and we were all amazed with the first one! So of course very excited to finally get the second one. Bryan Chick does an amazing job with details and pulling the reader into the story. His descriptions made my kids (and me) feel as if we knew all the characters personally! I am also impressed with how well this book makes for a read-aloud. It continued the adventure the first one started and now we are eagerly awaiting the third one! My children are 6 & 8 and both enjoyed it immensely! I highly recommend this series!

Yes the book is aimed towards the young but to me it was fascinating and I am 50 years old so if you like adventures this is a book to read.

My 8 year old grandson and I truly enjoyed this trip into a fantasy zoo. As animal lovers we try to read just about everything that is age appropriate for him on the topics of animals and zoos.
