About the Author

Larry Collins has been a captain of the Los Angeles County Fire Department's central USAR Company since 1990. He has been involved in rescue operations worldwide, including the Pentagon collapse during the September 11, 2001 attacks, and the Alfred P. Murrah Building bombing in Oklahoma City, as well as numerous natural disasters such as the Northridge (CA) earthquake. Collins has been awarded multiple medals of valor for distinguished service.

I heard rush limbaugh talking about this so i decided to get it cause i love Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Ambrose, etc.
I was dissapointed in this book. there wasn't really a whole lot that i already didn't know (if you are a WWII buff)

Larry Collins does a wonderful job in shedding new light to weathered subject. The logistics and basic strategy of D-Day are widely known but Collins creates a intriguing tale to the Allies success.
