Sage Advice on Pages Nice, April 11 2010
By Untold Joy - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Secrets Of Joy: A Treasury Of Wisdom (Hardcover)
If you ever have trouble shaking a rotten attitude, a sour mood or a grudge, pull this handy, miniature book out of your pocket and ponder just one of the ingeniously composed statements or musings about joy. You should be cured shortly. The theme of the book is the grounding, yet liberating, truth that joy can be chosen. It need not be elusive, though while we believe that our present unhappiness is the fault of someone or something else, it will certainly remain so.
The individual minds gathered here (many of whom most moderately-well-read people will recognize) make the point, one after the other, each in his/her own style, and each from his/her own perspective. This lends weight to the evidence, the testimony coming from so many witnesses.
Intermittent illustrations are bright, and styled so as to appear spontaneously created to match the feeling of the text they represent, but probably were well thought out, since besides depicting the text, they also complement it.
The binding is strong, and the pages, glossy. I've had my copy for at least fourteen years, and it still works great! In fact, it looks almost new.
This is a lot of good book for a little five bucks.

Very inspirational, BUT did not realize the book was so small in size. (my fault).
