I waited one full year to buy the 100th edition which was unavailable for everybody.As for me this company doesn't respect their readers. I wrote to the editors without any reply... It tells a lot about Shooters bible all around. The 100th edition is available on e-bay for 155$, what a ripoff! For all these reasons I think everybody should boycott the Shooters bible, in fact I think they shot themselves! Solution buy Gun Digest.

This book is highly recommended by aficionados in the shooting field. I purchased it finally and I maybe was expecting something a bit more encyclopedic. Not taking from it's updated contents, it is very well made. A good dose of information is within it. It is like a quick brush on whatever you are looking for firearm wise at the moment.I just cannot figure out how to consider it; a fireaarm price guide, a reference? It has too much uneccesary content in my opinion. The cartridge section, the rifle scope section. I do see it's value but, not exactly what the name makes it sound to be.

I bought this book, and find I hardly ever refer to it. The Internet has so much more information about anything imaginable, books like this are fast becoming outmoded. There are far too many guns to cover in a single book to give much attention to a one entry. On the other hand, it is fun to flip through and see some guns you may not have thought about before.15 years ago I would have loved this book. Now, it doesn't serve my purpose - information, fast, more in depth about a particular gun. You may see this in a different light if you don't watch YouTube videos about guns or research articles and forums. I received this book only a couple of days ago and I've only scanned sections of it. Already, it is apparent this book is poorly edited and full of errors that even one with only a narrow range of fireams experience (such as myself) will notice. There are significant omissions, incorrect descriptions, inverted captions to photographs and inclusions of firearms that have been discontinued long ago. This is something I've come to expect from publishers of firearms books--sloppy, lazy work by people who don't seem to really care about informing their audience. But don't expect "Gun Digest" to be any better. Virtually every book I've ever bought from the Gun Digest people has had even worse editing.C'mon, folks. It may not be easy to publish annual reports on ever-changing subjects. But some simple editing of details would be so easy if you really gave a damn. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful
