Homer Smokes Marijuana In This Season 13,

As a long time Simpsons fan, but i haven't really watched the broadcast episodes of the Simpsons much since 1998 so I thought I would throw out my two cents into this debate about the Simpsons going downhill.After watching this season 13 I have to say its not in this season 13. I don't know what these people are talking about with the Simpsons decline in quality. I still give this season five stars because to me this is like a special gift from GOD as some sort of reward for staying alive long enough to be able to watch these episodes on DVD. One of the best Simpsons episodes of all time is in this season, you know the one when Homer smokes marijuana, with the classic line " and heres a man whos clearly not dead". Also one of the funniest Simpsons jokes of all time is in this season, The Gay Dog Alliance. Long live the Simpsons FIVE STARS

A Very Good Season,

I just got this DVD set and as I was looking through the titles I was remembering all the really good episodes in this season. It isn't of a season 4 or 5 caliber over all...but this is a great season in its own right. Definitely one that should be owned by fans of the show. The packaging is not good at all. But then these sets are notorious for it being a pain to get the discs out. But that is a modest inconvenience compared to the joy of watching these episodes without commercials. Enjoy!!1

The blu-ray version is pretty good. I don't think it's completely remastered from scratch, which would be really nice. But this is a lot better than what's on DVD. Brighter colors, better visibility of smaller objects... guessing because of the higher bit-rate. Not perfect, but OK for what it is. I do hope they'll take more steps to remaster the next blu-ray Simpsons releases. Please!
