I rec'vd this book at noon, sat down at the kitchen table and didn't get up until 4 p.m. This isn't just a cookbook, its an educational book. This is the best cookbook I've ever bought, I love the explanations conversion charts. They have thought of everything from leaving pages for notes to grouping the recipies into categoires such as "vegetarian" etc. I don't think anyone could be disappointed with this purchase !

Fantastic recipes...easy to follow...without any "fancy" ingredients, that one can never find...down to earth goodness...
I am from the "old country", and I am used to versatile European cooking...and I am always looking for something new...I do a lot of entertaining...and this book definitely has it...my family and friends loved all the meals I have made so far...I can only recommend this...

I could not wait for this to be shipped so I paid full price (27$ cad) and it was worth every single penny.

The cookbook provides instructions on how to cook using techniques like sauteeing, roasting, and grilling. It includes the advantages of all of them.

It gives examples on how to menu plan and do big batch cooking!

AND -- the main purpose, how to eat lighter without giving up on flavor.

Lots of useful cooking and health information as well as tasty, "lightened up", healthy recipes from a chef & busy mom. Every-day ingredients help make this a useful addition to the home cook's library.

While this book is a good stand-alone, it can be used in conjunction with the popular health & wellness website, SparkPeople.com. The recipes in this cookbook are pre entered in the website's nutrition tracker database and can be used to help track calories as well as other macro and micro nutrients.
