"The Television Scripts ... Philip Rapp ... Ben Ohmart (editor) BearManor Media (2007)", Oct 13 2011

This review is from: The Television Scripts of Philip Rapp (Paperback)
BearManor Media presents "THE TELEVISION SCRIPTS OF PHILIP RAPP" (Paperback), by Philip Rapp (Author) editor's note by Ben Ohmart.
Editor Ohmart is somewhat an authority on the brilliant writings of Philip Rapp, mostly THE BICKERSONS, which also is a love of mine. But as Ohmart remarks - "Rapp was a deeply funny and prolific writer who deserves to be remembered as more than the creator of THE BICKERSONS --- This book should do".
Within the pages of this little gem, 'Deputy Seraph' (1959) featuring the Marx Brothers with Chico and Harpo as a pair of angels and Groucho as Deputy Seraph. About the same time, 'Joan of Arkansas', starring Joan Davis (was as funny as Lucille Ball) who is featured in an interesting role of a 'dental assistant', which didn't fly, wish it would have made it, sounds like a winner for todays sitcom reruns. Now we have the final entry as the pilot 'Squeegee' which the great comedian Ben Blue was the star, never saw the light of day, and did not make it.
Very reasonable and a good value for the price --- For product description and editorial review check this out on the Amazon site above my review.

Big thank you to Ben Ohmart and his staff at BearManor Media, a small press that publishes BIG books. They pride themselves on publishing quality entertainment biographies, so they often put out the first book on unique subjects -- plus specializing in books with nostalgic themes and keeping classic Hollywood alive not only thru his publishing house, but thru his own books.
If you want your funny bone tickled, this is the one.
Highly recommend - a good read! Perfect coffee-table book.
