Barrett does not toy around!, Feb 5 2012
By Terence R. Traut "Entelechy, Inc." - Published on Amazon.com
Chuck Barrett has come out with a fantastic read. Toymaker, his second book, is an engrossing, no holds barred, roller coaster ride across several continents pursuing bad guys. Each chapter leaves you breathless, but you can't stop - you can't put it down - because you know trouble lurks in the next chapter.
I started this book on a plane ride back from Denver, taking three separate flights to my home in Manchester, New Hampshire. At the conclusion of each leg, I was the last person out of the plane, reluctant to close the book!
The best part of the book comes at the end when Chuck, the author, gives us real hope that our protagonist and hero, Jake Pendleton, will be returning soon to bring justice wherever it is needed.
Chuck, I hope you don't make us wait another year for another thriller!!

MUST READ TOYMAKER, May 15 2012
By TXG8TR - Published on Amazon.com
As a follow up to the Savannah Project, the Toymaker didn't disappoint. The continuing character development of Jake Pendleton and Gregg Kaplan have me hooked in this series of books and looking forward to hopefully another one forthcoming. The plot had many twists and the introduction of the Toymaker with his myriad of amazing but believable "toys" for the spies kept me from setting this book down. The author's use of currently available technologies molded into the "toys" will appeal to anyone who enjoys Clancy novels. Can't wait to see what happens in next book.

Toymaker, May 15 2012
By Butch - Published on Amazon.com
The Toymaker was fantastic. After reading The Savannah Project I could not wait for this one to come out. Ironicaly I read The Toymaker on a flight home from France and Spain so I was able to really visualize all that was happening while reading the book. The twists and turns that the story takes ranks right up there with some of the best authors of this genre. I can't wait to see what is next. Great read.
