I watched this when it was on CBC and knew I would be buying it when it came out. If you want it, buy it now since it will be a limited release. The plot really caught my imagination. William Hutt's performance unfortunately was one of his last. He was a great actor and here is a chance to see him one more time.

I had never heard of this miniseries until I found the DVD at a truckstop in Seymour, Indiana. I'm an American but usually pick up any Canadiana I come across (the DVD's $3.98 US price helped!). The plot is extremely complicated and I'm sure that I'll watch it again to pick up what I missed the first viewing. I was a little surprised by the language considering that this apparently ran on CBC. Pretty realistic plot except there is no way that Canadians would give up their sovereignty to the US in a referendum!

I will watch anything with Paul Gross in it --he is easy on the eyes.The plot was complicated with a surprise ending, but I do not appreciate the Americans winning !!
