This review is from: The Tudors: The Complete First Season - Uncut (Bilingual/Bilingue) [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
This Tudor series is of incredible quality - well worth the $s. I saw an installment on Canadian broadcast TV while circling Lake Superior in a Canadian built Road Trek RV - (a Mercedes Sprinter), in October. I was very impressed both with the marvelous production quality, and the acting and writing in this series. I was also struck by the freedom you Canadians have in what you are permitted to broadcast. If the episode had aired on broadcast as opposed to cable TV in the US, our Public Broadcasting System would have been fined $500M for indecent exposure for a brief view of a breast. We residents of the lower 48, have a terrible phobia about the cataclysmic things that might happen if a breast is exposed; never mind that all mammals - male and female alike have some mammary tissue. Phooey on our superstitious puritan USA ancestors.
