T.V at it's best for everyone from history buffs to soap opera addicts

This show is addictive. Although there are some historical innacuracies and some fictional characters throughout the series, it does a wonderful job at portraying both the tyranical mind of Henry the eighth, and what life was like at the English court in the 16th century. The show does not claim to be completely historically correct, but as a history buff, it is one of the closest T.V. or movie depictions of The Tudor dynasty. The show is vivid and colorful with characters that come to life through the dialogue of the time period and the beautiful and elaborate costumes. I find it extremely interesting how difficult life as a woman at court during that time would have been. The show is not full of surprises or overflowing with action, but the story is captivating and will still keep you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend it. Thanks again Amazon for your quality product and speedy delivery. As always, I was extremely impressed.

A series full of lots of drama and excitement about the life of King Henry VIII. I am always surprised (as with the series Rome) that this kind of budget could be allowed for a tv series. It was filmed to attract even the youngest of audiences and they did a great job capturing a bit of history and adding the excitement and drama that anyone would appreciate and enjoy. I strongly recommend this series to anyone who is unsure of whether it is worth the money. I have watched it 3 times now and find it was well worth the money.

I watched this series in whole and really liked it. While watching it I knew it would be a show my mom would love so I bought this set for her as a Christmas gift and she loved it. She's watched it now a few times in its entirety. The price was great and so was was the delivery time.

Excellent
Excellent series, Very dark at times with some cruelty but it is well worth watching. Alot of steamy scenes as well between King Henry and Anne.

EXTREMELY Disappointing Release: Subtitles and Closed Captions
Amazon mentions the collection is English subtitled and the package mentions it's Closed Captioned.

Oh my goodness, what a fabulous collection of DVD's. My family has already watched 'The Tudors' 4x. You won't be able to get enough.. try it.
