One thing to consider .... Canadians beware - the same item is on amazon.com for $80 less - even though you pay to ship it ($8) with no taxes and our dollar at par - it's a much better deal - I love to shop Canadian - but hey this is a lot of money !
The shows are great, the remastered picture and sound is good, and there's many special features. Season 1 even came with a book about the entire seasons, including reviews of every episode --- I enjoyed that.
The best seasons are 1, 2 and 3. Seasons 4 & 5 each have some great episodes, but fewer than the first 3 seasons. Season 4 had one-hour episodes (while the other seasons had half hour episodes) and it's the weakest season by far.
If you loved this show but aren't sure about spending the money, get the first 3 seasons only. If you want it all, get this definitive collection with all 5 seasons together and save a lot of money. Ultimately, I wish I had went this route, but I was being cautious buying one season at a time. The US price makes it a no-brainer, as far as I'm concerned.
If you own Mark Zichree's wonderful book "The Twilight Zone Companion"(I have the original /82 edition)it is easy to think you "know it all",but let me tell you that is NOT the case. With or without the book there is just so much to see and learn here that you will come away with a whole new understanding and appreciation for not only the series itself but the man behind the show,Mr.Rod Serling.Read more ›
To give you an idea of what this means, here is what you get for bonus features just on Disc One of Season 1 of "The Twilight Zone": For "Where Is Everybody?" there is audio commentary by actor Earl Holliman and an isolated score by Bernard Herman; "One for the Angels" has "The Twilight Zone" Radio Drama starring Ed Begley, Jr.; "Mr. Denton on Doomsday" has audio commentary by actor Martin Landau; "The Sixteen Millimeter Shrine" has an isolated score by Franz Waxman; "Walking Distance" has part of a Rod Serling lecture given at Sherwood Oaks College in 1975 and another isolated score by Hermann; "Escape Clause" is a rare episode without a bonus feature; and "The Lonely" has another Hermann score.
Now, I can care less about the isolated scores, but the rest of the extras are great.Read more ›

This is being advertised as being a "bilingual" item. I am always skeptical when Amazon mentions "bilingual" about a movie or a TV series. Read morePublished 4 months ago by lazyliz101

I can watch these episodes over and over and they never get stale. However, a huge disappointment lies in the Bonus Features. Read morePublished 11 months ago by Wray Ellis
