My combat experience in the First Cavalry-Vietnam, lent me the experience I needed for some of the intense battle strategies and other related scenarios.
I was also able to successfully utilize all the animals in my novel, giving them "almost" human emotions. For example, Yellow Rose, the "Bigger than life" mother cat will captivate readers, as does Alanna, that great monster, who underneath it all is really a good-natured creature.
The romantic scenes with the "Knight in Shining Armor" facade of Wolverine lends the novel an element that captures the hearts of both males and females.
I am a marathon runner used to discipline, having completed 18 straight Houston marathons (1984-2001) totaling 41 completed marathons, including Boston and the Marine Corps. Much of this philosophy is employed in the novel, yet keeping it light enough for enjoyable reading.
The Ultimate Dragon really is the "ultimate" fantasy, appealing to ages 12 to 112 and a first in a series. Coming out soon will be Loch Ness Monsters in Atlantis? --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Interesting plot...falls short of potential....NOT FOR KIDS!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Ultimate Dragon (Paperback)
I purchased this novel, intending to give it as a gift. The description was enticing, the plot promising - a hero travels back in time to Scotland to fight dragons, meet the Loch Ness monster, and share his adventures with the reader. Unfortunately, the character development is lacking and I found myself not caring about the hero or any other character. More importantly, this book was recommended for kids, but it is NOT appropriate for children. The main "romance" scene is far too graphic for teens, and there are other inappropriate passages as well. Fans of the fantasy/romance genre may appreciate this novel, but it is not for everyone.

Wonderful Storyline,

This review is from: The Ultimate Dragon (Paperback)
If anyone is even a bit sceptic about fanasy novels, as I was when I bought this book, give this one a chance. It has a wonderful storyline dating to ancient Scotland around 999 AD, and Daniel Jason created a magnificent array of characters, and does a great job giving you a view into the hearts and deepest desires of his main characters. From fighting to romance to politics, this is a wonderful book. I encourage everyone to try this one, and especially if Scotland is in your blood. When you finish, you'll be hearing bagpipes!

This review is from: The Ultimate Dragon (Paperback)
Mr. Jason has captured the spirit of Scotland in the Ultimate Dragon. People intrested in Scottish history and fantasy novels will enjoy THE ULTIMATE DRAGON. Mr. Jason weaves the forces of good and evil as Tolkin does in Lord of the Rings. THE ULTIMATE DRAGON will transport you and reward you with a satisfying story.I'm looking forward to Book 2!
