There's gotta be better books than this., Sep 30 2008
This is the 3rd such book I've tried and it's still not satisfactory.
There are nice little quotes or info bits on the top of each page but... well, who actually reads them after the first week? And the "quizs" require you to navigate to the back of the book and try to figure out what week you're in in order to make sure you're reading the right "answer".
Once the book is more than half full, it's hard to find the "weekly wrap up" page unless you use some bookmarking system of your own. After the first couple weeks, you won't bother filling in the weekly wrap up 'cause that's just re-entering info you've already entered - which seems pointless especially since you can't easily flip back through and find the weekly wrap up pages anyway.
The "notes" column only lets you enter a couple words on each line so you can't write any details pertaining to a specific line. For example, if you enter your strength training info, weights, sets, etc, then want to make a comment about it, you are limited to 3 words (or very very tiny writing).
There are lots of little sections to write stuff in but they are just boxes on the page labelled: Mind-Body notes, Daily wrap up and Nutrition notes. Other than the daily wrap up which should only be a wrap up and doesn't need much space, the rest are too small to list details of activities, or food eaten, so I'm not sure what you're expected to put in it. "I ate X Y Z today?"
I ended up using the Mind-body area to keep track of mileage on my running shoes as there's no other place to do so, and the nutrition area is blank because it's not big enough to write my meals into. There is no place to keep track of weight or measurements either, so you'll have to stick those in a mis-named box if you want to track them.
Overall, the book is satisfactory because you can track your cardio and strength and make notes (albeit in named boxes that have nothing to do with what you'll write in it) but there has got to be more useful books out there. Oh, and it's only for tracking 6 months, not the year I expected in a planner.

PRETTY BUMMED, Sep 10 2001
This review is from: The Ultimate Workout Log: An Exercise Diary and Fitness Guide (Spiral-bound)
HAD HOPED TO HAVE A JOURNAL THAT WAS ALL INCLUSIVE ON FITNESS & NUTRITION, AND WAS SADLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE 1 1/2 INCH SPACE FOR THE NOTES ON EATING. JUST WASN'T AS IT WAS PORTRAYED IN YOUR NARRATIVE
