I have never played the games, but after talking to fans of the games and the books, I thought I would check out this book and I just couldn't put it down. I felt like the characters as they where in the Spencer Estate, trying to figure out how to get out of the nightmare!!!!

I liked it so much that I want to get the first game and live the journey itself!!!

This book shocked me. That's the only word I know that can describe this book. I've played the games, I've seen the movie, I've heard the stories, but this book was beyond belief. S.D. Perry knows her stuff.

I've played most of the first game, often thinking what it would be like to be in that situation. S.D. Perry told me what it would be like, in full detail. The smells, descriptions, it was almost too much, and yet almost too little.

It was perfect.

It takes a lot to give me nightmares, or get me scared, but this book almost made me afraid to go to bed the night I read it (and I finished it ONE NIGHT! I couldn't put this book DOWN!) My only regret is that I can't get the second book yet due to financial reasons. Otherwise I would buy every book in the series and read 'em all in a week.

This book is a must-buy for thrill seekers.

For game/movie fan or not, this book is a must read for those who enjoy the movie like feeling that runs through your imagination.It gives you quick, action packed description and tons of ZOMBIE KILLING!! You'll read and find out why this book is so good...I'm now a total fan of S.D. Perry books.
