Continues to amaze,
By Loki Xombi "Nox" (Alberta, ED Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Walking Dead Volume 4: The Hearts Desire (Paperback)
The 4th volume of The Walking Dead series is indeed well worth the read. The survivors have finally managed to secure themselves within the prison walls, and are now ready to defend their new home from the roaming dead. Unfortunatly, some new arrivals and internal conflicts once again prove that the walking dead are not the only thing tat can kill you.Plot twists, death, leadership breakdown, more death and a few love triangles are all rolled up into this one amazing graphic novel. ...followed of course by more death. Be sure not to miss this book, as well as vol 1-3.

I don't usually write reviews for anything, but this really deserves some recognition. This volume was amazing. I own all the volumes so far (1-4). Each volume is better than the last, and I HIGHLY recommend all all of them, five stars all around. The writing is so smart, it causes you to really care about the characters and what is happening to them. I love zombie movies, and I have a couple of books... so I know what is good and what stinks when it comes to zombie stuff(no pun intended). These books have to be owned by any zombie fan. I cannot express enough how entertaining these books are. Pure greatness. And the main character "Rick" is my new hero. (Next to Bill Gates for making the the best console on the planet: XBOX 360)!

Not since reading Lucifer Wars by Stuart Vowell have i been so gripped. robert kirkman certainly knows his stuff when it comes to zombies and this is no exeption to the series. Each magotty creaking stiff that almost comes out of the page will make your flesh crawl. If this one doesn't make you laugh then you're already dead.
