5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Book July 17 2004
By A Customer
Wow. I can't believe some of the ridiculous reviews on this site. I have never met Rhuddlwm Gawr or anyone else associated with YTT. I am just a seeker like most of you, weighing all the information and, thankfully, relying on my Inner Guidance for direction. Others would have you rely on their manipulative tactics to entice your opinions and perceptions in their direction, in accordance to their agenda. Whatever you do, own your own mind--and let it be open. I have read The Quest, The Way, and most of The Word; the claims made by hate-groups against Rhuddlwm are not consistent with the Spirit and Wisdom revealed in these books--a Wisdom that transcends any nationality and can only be apprehended in its completion by the genuine seeker. Wales and Welsh mythology function as the context in which Rhuddlwm's journey takes place. The lessons, insights, love, and wisdom are universal, so any petty accusations made about Welsh spellings, etc. truly misses the point and trivializes the larger picture--but it is a great glimpse into the narrow minds of those who would discredit and defame that which they truly do not understand. By the way, Rhuddlwm is American. He doesn't keep that fact a secret. That would make him a foreignor to Wales and means that Welsh, at best, is his second language (and I am not sure it is). And another thing: reviews on this site are written in English, not Welsh, because this site is written with an English-speaking audience in mind. Please! The absolute paucity of intelligence displayed by this hate group truly compromises their credibility. I smell a rat. No...a few of them.
I HIGHLY recommend all books by Rhuddlwm Gawr.

5.0 out of 5 stars I was Stunned Feb. 5 2004
By A Customer
I read the Way first and then logged back on to read all the reviews. I'd never done that before. I'd expected to see some thoughtful reactions and, of course, I have.
What left me "stunned" were the viciously ignorant ravings of the one-star reviewers. My first thought was that they must be part of a deliberate campaign - okay, conspiracy - to shout the authors down. My second thought was, "No,a deliberate campaign would suggest a measure of intelligent planning, arming them with facts, encouraging them to sound as if they'd actually read the book, etc."
So instead I'm just saddened to realize that there are some dangerously stupid people out there. I say saddened, but not surprised, and I do mean dangerous. Throughout history, tyrants seem to have had no trouble recruiting death squads numbering in the tens of thousands. They were recruited, I'm sure, from the
same simple minded simps that have given this book a one star rating.
I really liked the book. It has terrific ensights into Welsh Craft.
Excellent Read

5.0 out of 5 stars The Way to Witchcraft Initiation Jan. 30 2004
The Way is a fantastic book. It was written by Taliesin einion Vawr, Merridden Gawr and Rhuddlwm Gawr. I met Taliesin in 1996 in Betws-y-coed. I understand he passed away a few years ago. He was well known in the Northern Wales area among "real" Witches.
The Way was one of the first books that I read dealing with the subject of Welsh Witchcraft. I found it refreshing in that it didn't espouse "goddess worship only" or basic candle magick. I did find that it could induce paranoia. Most Welsh Pagans don't like it because it was primarily published by an American. And it talks about Welsh Faerie Witchcraft. It actually gave the process that a true Welsh Witch would have to undergo before they would be adopted into a coven. And because it is authentic Witchcraft which has a core of traditional philosophy and an aura of modern techniques, they scoff at it for not appearing to be 10,000 years old. I respect the author for putting up with the politically correct non-pagan reviewers who want to debase the book, because they don't like the spelling of some Welsh words. I hope they are getting something from the experience of attacking a real pagan religion which has many more adherents in Wales than they could ever imagine.
Most of The Way deals with spiritual processes of how a High Priest found the Grail of Immortality and continues the process of initiation in Welsh Witch. He also seemed to have an obsession with trying to convey to the reader the emotional roller coaster he experienced as he continues his Spiritual Journey. In fact it is one of the few Witchcraft Books which focuses on spirituality instead of spells. But, it does contain rituals, festival descriptions, and magick.
The Way was very entertaining and there's one method that I did like alot.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Slander Continues Dec 22 2003
The Slander Continues, December 22, 2003
Reviewer: Rhuddlwm Gawr (see more about me) from Kennesaw, GA
I have been patient with the slanderous reviewers of this book. But since I wrote it I feel I have an obligation to reply to the BS which has been placed on this section of Amazon. Certain disatisfied individuals who were asked to leave our church for various infractions of ethics and honor and then resigned have stated they are going to "get me". This slander is one of the various ways they have chosen to do so. But they didn't sign their name. Their claims are in fact blatant lies and fabrications in an attempt to hurt me financially, emotionally, and in any way they can. These are in fact very evil people who will stop at nothing to hurt others. But, they crossed the line when they slandered me and lied about my religion.
The Quest has been a best seller and that bothers them. These slanderous remarks are an attempt to hurt the sales of the book. Please don't be fooled by these people.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a book about Witchcraft NOT Wicca
I see a lot of debate here about "The Way". That alone is good, because the more homogenized I see Witchcraft and Wicca get, the farther I distance myself from it. Read more
