3.0 out of 5 stars Not what Id hoped for....., May 30 2003

"The Wildest Shore" was an entertaining book..the plot was DEFINITELY different as were the characters and their backgrounds. I did enjoy this, but I didnt love it..I found myself setting it aside over and over..I just thought the whole vision thing was ridiculous. Also..I had a hard time connecting with the h/h. I didnt get a sense of their feelings or their passion for one another at all. I did not like Anne at all. I thought that she was annoying and full of herself. I enjoyed Horatio, but thought that his character was underdeveloped..all in all not bad, but could have been soooo much better than it was.

5.0 out of 5 stars Talk about a different plot!, May 14 2003
This review is from: The Wildest Shore (Mass Market Paperback)
This is also the 'Wildest Story'! Very different from what I usually read. It is definitely what you would call a high-seas adventure. It had hurricane-force storms, pirates, headhunters, exotic islands, exotic love scenes, fun, a very odd entourage of characters; you name it had it! It was a romance novel, but that was not the main part of the story, & not what you would call a light read. I will have to say that it was very entertaining, & never let me get bored. Character development was excellent I thought. If you like high-seas adventure then I'm sure you'll like this one. If you want something different, this is it!

My first Lisa Cach book - I was very pleasantly surprised. None of the stereotypical highborn lady of the ton plots. Wonderful exotic tropical setting. I highly recommend this book!
