Book Description

April 15 2013

In his bestselling business book Driven: How to Succeed in Business and in Life, Robert Herjavec, the former co-star of CBC TV’s Dragons’ Den and current co-star of ABC TV’s Shark Tank, urged his readers to take risks, take control of their lives, and stay true to their own visions. Now, in this inspirational follow-up, Herjavec wants to push his readers even further towards greatness.

Whether you are seeking to build the next big company in communications technology, to become the most respected teacher in your educational system, or to make a lasting impact as an artist in your field, the most important decision you can make, according to Herjavec, is to reject mediocrity. In the long run, “good enough” is never good enough, whether in our personal lives or in our careers.

Drawing on anecdotes from his own life and from the lives of celebrity friends such as Oprah, Georges St-Pierre and Celine Dion, Herjavec delivers valuable life lessons that promise to guide readers to greater happiness and success.

While his previous book Driven offers great advice as it relates to becoming a great entrepreneur his book The Will to Win offers great advice for anyone willing to become a better person. Filled with much insightful and at times very personal advice, this book is a great read whether you are in business or not.

3.0 out of 5 stars Highly Motivating, Mediocre Writing June 16 2014
By Colleen A. Smith - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Robert Herjavec is clearly amazing at a lot of things - writing is not one of them. That being said, his story is extremely motivational and a great demonstration of a person's capacity to accomplish anything if they don't focus on the obstacles in their lives, and instead set goals and seek any and all opportunities that propel you towards these goals. I loved how this book showed that behind his polite and thoughtful image is a fiercely competitive and ambitious mentality.

I would recommend this for anyone who wants to get pumped up about doing great things - and not for someone who's looking for a great read.
