I found this book to be a fun and quick read and very informative. It may have been quick because it was so interesting that i had a hard time putting it down. You will be studying everyones face after you read this. I would recommend this book to anyone that is interested in face reading.

This excellent book is based on ancient Chinese wisdom tweaked to accommodate the needs of modern psyches. Well written, organized, and photographed, it describes techniques that have nothing to do with "reading the future" or performing amusing parlor tricks. Instead, they may give you a new ability to understand and accept yourself and every other being on the planet. While this introduction cannot go as deep as Jean's workshops (see [...] it provides a fine basic text from which to begin your exploration of a fascinating premise.

According to Jean Haner, the ancient Chinese believed that your face reflects your true inner spirit, the blueprint of your original design. Her purpose in "The Wisdom of Your Face" is to show how face reading can provide the answers to two essential life questions - Who are you? and What is your calling?
If nothing else comes out of reading the book, it will get you to really look at and "see" other people, and focus on what drives and motivates them. It is incredibly powerful sensitivity training, and most impressively, it even seems to work!

I always considered myself to be well-versed in body language. This book proves that you never stop learning...or discovering what you don't know. To be able to merely look at someone's face and gain instant insight into their temperament and character (called physiognomy) is an amazing advantage to have in terms of understanding people.
I found information pertaining to one's eyebrows - particularly the farther apart they are (which means you have the ability to deal with a broad range of personalities), to be interesting. As well as their curvature (indicating willingness to please), or how straight they are (ability to look at situations logically), and length (ability to maintain many friendships).
It's only a small sampling of the physical secrets that the face contains about who we are. Other elements of the face that are revealing include:
-Strong jawlines = strong convictions
-Double chin = less judgmental of others
-Ears that pull away from the head = inclination to pull way from family
-Ears that are close to the head = inclination to stick to family
-Cleft in chin = need for attention
-Rounded chin = warmth
-Rounded forehead = high creativity
The more you become familiar with the characteristics in this book, which has great illustrations, the easier and faster you will recognize them in people. With this book it's not a picture that's worth a thousand words, but the keen observations you make which enable you learn about people before they even open their mouths. How valuable is that? Get this book for your library today!
