1.0 out of 5 stars A good book Jun 17 2004

The Wish List

Meg yet again finds herself in a horrible twist, the choice between good and evil. Meg is about to be thrown into complete darkness. She is forced to go fix her mistakes after being killed in a huge gas explosion. In this story Meg is her own antagonist because of the foolish mistakes she made in her past. To fix her mistakes she must go and help a old man fulfill a list of bizarre wishes. Meg's goal is to do this before time runs out and she is sent into complete darkness. Eion Colfer writes a suspenseful, action, and emotionally driven story that makes you want to read it over and over again. This story is definitely plot driven because of Meg's goal and all the obstacles in the way, and all this just to get to heaven.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool, but with elements of strange Dec 11 2008
Format:Paperback
This is a great book, even if it does have elements of religious content. The devil does make appearances and so does hell. But we never see heaven of god for that matter but they are defiantly implied to exist.

Meg is a girl who's gotten herself into more trouble than she can handle and she gets killed. She gets caught in between heaven and hell, not able to go anywhere. The only way she can get into heaven, and avoid hell, is go back and fulfill the last wishes of an old man who she tried to rob before dying. The clock is ticking, a spirit can only stay on earth so long.
Can Meg help the old man and go to heaven, or will she disappear from earth and go to hell?

I think this book was good, aside from the religious stuff the plot is good and the characters come off immediately believable. The goals and attitudes of the characters match perfectly and it's a really good book. Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eoin Colfer Does It Again Aug 11 2005
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
Okay, everyone says this isn't as good as the Artemis Fowl series but I have to disagree. This is a great book. Other than mention Heaven and Hell it doesn't mention religion at all and it's really interesting and not too extreme for kids (I would know seeing as how I'm 12). Chris whatshisface is being close minded and a doofus. I highly reccomend this book to anyone looking for a light summer read. Highly entertaining. (You people don't give kids enough credit, jeez)

4.0 out of 5 stars A fun book from a favorite author.

2.0 out of 5 stars Entirely too easy.
I know, it sounds like a stupid reason for an adult reader to decry a kids' book. And I'd agree, if I were talking about it being too easy to read. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Wish List + Eoin Colfer = Good Book
The Wish List was far too short for my likings.
Although the story-line, good, with greatly sculpted characters and crack-up lines, it was too short. Read more
