This faithful rendering of the New King James Version® presents the Bible in more than 90 hours of compelling, dramatic audio theater format.

This world-class audio production immerses listeners in the dramatic reality of the Scriptures as never before with an original music score by composer Stefano Mainetti (Abba Pater), feature film quality sound effects, and compelling narration by Michael York and the work of over 600 actors.

Each beloved book of the Bible comes to life with outstanding performances by Jim Caviezel as Jesus, Richard Dreyfuss as Moses, Gary Sinise as David, Jason Alexander as Joseph, Marisa Tomei as Mary Magdalene, Stacy Keach as Paul, Louis Gossett, Jr. as John, Jon Voight as Abraham, Marcia Gay Harden as Esther, Joan Allen as Deborah, Max von Sydow as Noah, and Malcolm McDowell as Solomon.

The 79-CD set includes a separate carrying case and an interactive Bonus Features DVD that includes actor interviews, worship resources, and a fascinating look at how dramatic audio theater is produced.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Nightmare If You Want Proper iTunes Usability Feb. 24 2011
By Keivan
Format:MP3 CD
5 Stars for production and $ value.
0 Stars for ID3 digital management.
3 Stars Overall,

This product was obviously designed for playback in CD players where everything has to be in an absolute order from 1 to 1189. And for that I'm sure it works fine. But for an iPod or iPhone, not fun. I'm an iTunes Perfectionist and this was so much work to have it properly tagged and categorized in iTunes. The imbedded ID3 tags are the same as the track names which are "WOP-01-Genesis-001.mp3" (128kbps, 5.41 Gigs total). I wanted to have the Bible separated by OT & NT as well as each book so I could easily navigate, which this does not have. In order to accomplish this I will outline my procedure to help anyone who also wants this functionality in iTunes, which even when I was done was not perfect but it was the only way to get it the way I wanted. My hope is that this helps you and saves you the hours I put into my end process.

NOTE 1 - In order to separate the OT from the NT I created them as separate artists. ie, "WOP- OT" Then each book was a separate album.

Luckily, each book of the Bible on each disc is in it's own folder and named "01-Genesis" so they are already in order.
- I used Name Mangler to rename the files "Genesis 1.mp3" etc.
- I downloaded a trial version of Media Rage, a ID3 editor, that does batch changes (select Data Changer from the Tools dashboard) and then changed the artist, album and artwork. The default album art is the same as the amazon picture, ha.
- Import it all into iTunes

NOTE 2 - I have yet to find a way to quickly import into iTunes in chronological order other than double clicking the first file waiting for it to import and then clicking the next file. I was not about to do that for 1189 files.
