The eagerly anticipated third volume of the Willowmere Chronicles
Sixteen-year-old Claire Norton has come to terms with her new identity as a twice-reincarnated witch, but many things in her life continue to haunt her. Though she now believes her mother fled years ago in order to protect her family from the evil Dark Circle coven, Claire is still no closer to finding her. And although the head of the coven has been weakened by the harmful after-effects of his own black magic, the sinister young warlock Nicholas van Buren is poised to take over as heir apparent. As well, Claire must confront her growing feelings for a boy at her high school and her desire to get closer to him while at the same time trying to keep him safe from the supernatural dangers that surround her.
What shape will her final destiny take? Will Claire be able to defeat her enemies and enjoy a normal life at last—or will the ultimate sacrifice be demanded of her?

"Chronicles" looks to be a trilogy...,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wyrd of Willowmere: Willowmere Chronicles #3 (Paperback)
I came across the Willowmere Chronicles a few months ago, and sailed through the first two books. The premise was interesting and different, and the main character was very likeable. I couldn't wait for the third book in the series to be released...This must be the final book in the series. It's a little disappointing, but understandable. The author sort of wrote herself into a corner (by saying that Claire only had two past lives... by making that number larger, she could have written a long series of stories!). All the loose ends were tied up by the end of this book, leaving no room for any more sequels. I was, however, pleased with the twist at the end (though I saw it coming for miles). Fans of the series should enjoy this book (though, I have to say, I preferred the first two volumes... there were a few editing/grammar problems in this one). Four stars for a good young adult read.
