I bought this book after watching her demonstrations in YouTube. However, the book is mainly about General Yoga, focusing on face exercise just on the first 40 pages out of 212 of the book.
It is good, but it would be much better to acquire an instructional on face exercises video with better and more expanded explanation for better results.

This book is not primarily about face muscle exercises. It is, however, about exercises that will help your face - and particularly your neck. The approach is holistic, emphasizing how attitude, thoughts, overall health, energy, stress and other factors all come together to build a person's facial features. The one exercise called "budha face" is worth the whole book in my opinion. The author has a philosophy of facial beauty and a system for cultivating it. I own a few different books on this subject: one that uses acupressure, one that strengthens face muscles and this one that emphasizes a whole-body approach. I find that each contributes in its own way. The yoga poses in this book are selected for their capacity to cleanse, stimulate and stretch in such a way as to benefit the face and neck regions. I think they're great. The reason I don't give this book 5 stars is that the section on specific exercises for the face is not comprehensive enough. I think that other books do a better job on facial muscle exercises. However, overall, this book is very helpful.

I expected this book to have wonderful up close pictures to show you how to do the poses, well....the pictures that it does have are tiny and in black and white, hard to see fully and alot more writing than I think was needed. I seen this book on Rachel Ray and seen the woman who wrote it at her studio teaching and it looked great, the book not so. I was very dissapointed in it and will have to find another one that I can see better and understand better. It could have at least been in color to see a little better.

It is a good book with lots of exercises. I thought that there would be more face specific exercises, but there are many standard yoga positions throughout the book. My understanding of yoga is limited, so I thought that the whole book would be just the face. Many of the body exercises also exercise the face or get blood flow to the skin of the face. I rated it a three mostly because of my expectations. I think she really explains the reasons and hows of the positions and exercises.

The book is written in a conversational, yet instructional way, and it's a quick read yet full of great tips on how to keep a younger-looking face. Her style is warm and encouraging, anyone can follow her method........highly recommended.
